Exactly what is it we are afraid of?
We are commanded by God to listen to the words of the priest, the leader of God's congregation, the pastor.
Malachi 2:7 “The words of a priest’s lips should preserve knowledge of God, and people should go to him for instruction, for the priest is the messenger of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
Pastor, we need to be leading the people into real authentic faith. Say what you mean and mean what you say. People, you need to heed the Word of God without fail so that you do not continue down a path of immaturity and then deception.
John 10:10 "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."
I try to keep my thoughts very simple. God is good all the time. Satan is bad all the time. Never mix the two truths.
Satan steals, kills, and destroys. Jesus brings abundant life. See how simple and easy that is? So if Jesus brings abundant life, how is that so many Christians allow the fear of sickness or death to turn them away from going to the church building to worship together? We all hear statements like, "well brother we must use wisdom." Like God's word isn’t wisdom?
The house of God is where people for years have gone to be healed, not get sick. Who has lied to us?
John 8:44 "You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it."
I think it’s apparent who has lied to us. Remember, Satan works through people just as God works through people. You and I as believers simply need to know the truth so we can walk in freedom versus fear.
Let's believe in God's Word. Let's get back to laying hands on the sick. How about praying for people NOT to get COVID? Miracles and healing was the benchmark sign that Jesus was the Messiah. Miracles and healing are why people ran to him. As representatives of Christ on earth, let's remember our purpose and calling. Heal the sick, then preach the good news. People's ears tend to open up after they are healed or fed.
In the New Testament, believers were tortured, fed to lions, used for sport, thrown into prison, all for the sake of believing and acting on His word. Are you telling me that a virus that 99% of all people recover from causes believers to live in fear, not attend church, and not heal the sick? What in the world are we doing? On one hand, we claim Jesus as King and Lord, as savior and healer, and on the other, we are afraid to go outside our homes? What kind of message does this send to unbelievers? Simple, it’s sending a message that we are make-believers, not believers.
Mark 11:22 "So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”
What is your heart saying through your mouth today? You will have it!
Do you tithe? The promise of God says he will rebuke the devourer from you and open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing so much that you cannot hold it! Who are we believing, believer? The liar or the Lord?
I encourage you to get back into your Word, get a copy of TEST ME on our website, pray and fast for a true revelation of who we serve. Then begin to live with faith instead of fear.
When we are convinced of our calling and our purpose, we no longer have a 9-5 mentality or a fear mentality. We look forward to every day of life as an adventure and assignment from heaven!
