Who we are and what this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how G.F. Watkins Ministries (“G.F. Watkins,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information in connection with gfwatkins.org, our website forms, and G.F. Watkins communications and services that link to this Policy.
Some links take you to services operated by Genesis Team or other organizations, including booking and payment pages. The operator identified on that service is responsible for its own processing. This Policy applies to information we receive or handle for G.F. Watkins; it does not replace the privacy notice of an independent operator.
This Policy provides information about our practices. Reading it or using the website is not, by itself, consent to receive marketing messages or to processing that requires separate consent.
Information we collect
The information involved depends on the features you use and what you choose to provide:
- Contact information: first and last name, email address, phone number, and your correspondence.
- Organization and event information: church or organization name, role, event name and type, requested topic, dates and times, attendance estimate, format, location, travel and lodging information, budget, and additional details.
- Appointment and transaction information: requested appointment details and, when a purchase or donation is connected with our services, relevant contact, billing or delivery information, amount, transaction reference, and payment or fulfillment status provided by you or the transaction platform.
- Subscription and consent information: email or SMS preferences, the consent selections you make, submission timestamps, opt-in and opt-out records, and communications needed to maintain your preferences.
- Chat information: messages and contact details you provide if you use an available chat feature, together with information needed to deliver and troubleshoot that conversation.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, referrer information, timestamps, and logs generated when the website or its supporting services handle a request.
Your church affiliation, ministry role, or message may reveal religious beliefs or other sensitive information. Share only what is necessary for your request. Do not send payment-card details, passwords, government identification numbers, medical records, or sensitive information about another person through a general form or chat.
Information comes directly from you, from technical interactions with the website, and from providers handling a request or transaction on our behalf. A payment provider may collect payment credentials directly; its privacy notice and payment interface explain that collection.
How we use information
We use information as reasonably necessary to:
- Respond to questions and manage general inquiries or speaking invitations.
- Coordinate appointments, requested services, and event logistics.
- Support purchases, course access, donations, receipts, and related administrative records when handled by our team.
- Deliver newsletters, ministry resources, and marketing communications in accordance with your subscriptions, choices, and applicable law.
- Send requested service updates and consented SMS communications.
- Operate and troubleshoot the website, forms, and any available chat feature.
- Protect the website, prevent misuse, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
- Record and honor privacy requests, consent choices, and communication preferences.
We limit the use of sensitive information you provide to the purpose of your request and related necessary administration. Where applicable law requires separate consent to process sensitive data, we obtain that consent. Agreeing to general website terms is not a substitute for it.
When information is disclosed
Information may be disclosed to the following categories of recipients for the stated purposes:
- Service providers: website hosting and technical support, CRM and workflow services, scheduling, email and SMS delivery, payment or order processing, and chat or AI-support providers. They receive the information relevant to the function they perform. Linked booking and payment pages currently identify tealsi as their platform.
- Requested service participants: the ministry, event organizer, or other party involved in fulfilling an invitation, appointment, or service you requested, where needed for that request or with your permission.
- Professional advisers and lawful recipients: where reasonably necessary for legal, accounting, security, dispute-resolution, or legal-compliance purposes.
- A successor operator: if a lawful reorganization or transfer of the relevant operations occurs, subject to applicable privacy protections and required notices.
For operational support, contact and request information may be handled by communication and scheduling providers; transaction information by payment and fulfillment providers; technical information by hosting and security providers; and chat messages by providers supporting chat. This does not authorize every recipient to receive every category of information.
We do not authorize service providers acting on our behalf to use the personal information we supply for their own unrelated marketing. Independent services that you choose to use, such as video platforms or an external checkout, also process information under their own privacy notices.
Mobile information and SMS consent
We use your mobile number and SMS preferences to deliver the G.F. Watkins messages you separately choose to receive. Service messages and marketing messages have separate opt-in choices. Providing a phone number or accepting general website terms does not automatically enroll you in promotional texts.
Mobile information, SMS opt-in data, and consent records are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. They may be disclosed to providers, carriers, and aggregators only as needed to operate and deliver our messaging program, maintain consent records, honor opt-outs, or comply with law.
Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. You can also contact us to revoke consent or obtain help. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of a purchase, donation, or service. See the SMS terms for additional information.
Cookies, embedded videos, and related technology
The website and services it loads can use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to support functionality, security, preferences, and embedded features. The information involved can include device or browser details, IP address, and activity associated with that feature.
The website embeds content from YouTube and Vimeo. When an embed loads or you interact with it, the provider may receive technical information and use its own cookies or similar technology under its privacy policy and your settings. If you are signed into that provider, your activity may also be associated with your account. Social-media links lead to services with their own privacy practices.
You can manage cookies through your browser and through any preference controls offered by a third-party service. Blocking cookies may affect some features. Browser cookie settings alone may not communicate every legal privacy choice. You may contact us using the details below to submit an applicable opt-out request.
Sale, targeted advertising, and privacy signals
We do not sell personal information or disclose it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use personal information for targeted advertising as defined by applicable state privacy laws. We do not use personal information for automated profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
If those practices change, we will revise this notice and provide the notices, choices, and consent mechanisms required before beginning the new processing. Where applicable law requires us to honor a recognized browser-based opt-out signal, such as Global Privacy Control, we will treat it as the applicable opt-out request. Such a signal does not, by itself, unsubscribe you from email or SMS communications.
Your communication choices
Email: use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or contact GF@GFWatkins.org. Necessary nonmarketing messages about your request or transaction may still be sent.
SMS: reply STOP or contact us to revoke consent. For help, reply HELP or use the contact details below. We keep the information needed to honor your opt-out and document consent.
Forms and chat: you can choose not to provide information, although we may be unable to respond to or fulfill a request without the necessary details. Marketing consent is optional and separate from the information needed to handle your request.
Privacy requests and applicable rights
Depending on where you live, the law that applies to our operations, and applicable exceptions, you may have rights to request access to personal information, obtain a portable copy, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, withdraw consent, or opt out of a sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. You may also have a right to appeal a decision on your request and to exercise these rights without unlawful discrimination.
Submit a request by emailing GF@GFWatkins.org with the subject “Privacy Request”, calling 832-509-0074, or using our contact form. Describe the request and provide a way for us to respond. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity or an authorized agent’s authority. Do not send identification documents unless we request them through an appropriate channel. You do not need to create an account.
We respond within the period required by applicable law. Where the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act applies, the usual response period is 45 days, with a permitted extension of up to 45 additional days when reasonably necessary and with notice. If we deny a request, we explain the reason and applicable appeal process.
To appeal, contact us using the same methods and identify the decision you want reviewed, with the subject “Privacy Appeal” if emailing. We will respond within the applicable legal period. You may also contact the Texas Attorney General or another regulator with jurisdiction.
Retention and security
We retain personal information for the period reasonably needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, administer transactions, maintain required records, address disputes, and comply with law. The appropriate period depends on the type of information, the relationship or transaction, legal obligations, and whether an ongoing purpose remains. Consent and suppression records may need to remain after other information is deleted so we can honor communication preferences.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and its use. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe information has been misused, contact us promptly.
Children’s information
This website’s contact, booking, purchasing, and communication features are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through these features. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.
A linked camp or program serving younger participants is subject to its own registration process, parental permissions, and privacy notice. This Policy does not replace those protections.
Visitors outside the United States
Our operations are based in the United States. Information may be handled in the United States or other locations where providers supporting the requested service operate. Privacy laws can differ by location.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis or safeguards for a transfer, those requirements apply. Your use of the website alone is not consent to an international transfer or a substitute for legally required safeguards.
Updates to this policy
We may update this Policy when our practices, services, or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by law before a material change takes effect. A revised notice does not retroactively authorize an incompatible use of previously collected information.
