Find a chair in your room that has four legs. Now, sit in it. This design was thought out in advance to support your weight. Each chair is designed and built for the purpose of holding a person’s weight while they eat, talk, plan, etc. Each church has a design and a purpose that is given to it by God. What would happen if you removed three of the four legs from your chair and continued to try to sit in it? Try it.

Can we talk? I mean really talk? Nobody getting offended? It’s been over two years since my last book was published, called “TEST ME: The Malachi Mystery.” Another good title might have been “Why do bad things seem to happen to good people?”

When you accept your calling as a leader for God, you come to realize that giving people what they “want” is not so much the job. Giving people what they “need” is the job of a man of God.

In our 2020 society, we need real men, real warriors, Alpha Male Christian men to take charge. We need this more now than ever before. I have seen horrendous violent acts, assaulting innocent non-involved people in American cities recently. It seems that people believe that if they validate their position in their own mind, then it's ok to abuse anyone they deem worthy of abuse. This is wrong on every level, no matter what your race.

There are so many hurting people in the world that are willing to listen to you about this Great God that will restore them. The secret is, He uses saved people to save people. You are how He restores.

My generation was one of the final groups to experience paddling in public school. I remember each time I received the “Board of Education” applied to the “Seat of higher learning.”  In our day and the days of those before us, the very threat of receiving pops kept the peace. 

A forcer multiplier is a military term that refers to a factor that gives personnel or weapons the ability to accomplish greater feats than without it. We cover this catalyst truth in our book The Alpha Male. Most people will admit that they want to make the most of their time by producing the most impact with the smallest effort. The issue here is that before one can multiply, they need to have their life or company in order.

My good friend General Gerry Boykin, once told me a story about himself as a young man. I wanted to share this with you especially since Father's Day is this Sunday. I thought it spoke to us about the warrior spirit birthed in every man.

One of my favorite authors is Sir Winston Churchill. Churchill, as you know, is credited for leading England in a desperate time of WWII. Listen to his words of wisdom and place yourself in a home that has just been blown up by the Nazis: “If you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly, you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory because it is better to perish than to lie as slaves.”

One thing is for sure, Jesus said, “If you’ve seen me, you’ve seen The Father!" (John 14:7&8). Like so many of Jesus' parables, He teaches us to see the invisible by referencing and understanding the visible. Jesus was famous for speaking in parables or mysteries, as it is stated in certain places in the bible. He usually follows up a parable with words like, “he who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

Do you ever wonder why men congregate in places like The Moose Lodge, Elk Lodge, The Knights of Columbus Hall, Masonic lodge, the corner bar, etc? It’s within these walls that men respect one another for the accomplishments that usually go unseen and in their minds unappreciated at home. So they come together to develop an atmosphere of respect and honor that is understood and maintained even if it’s only for a couple of hours in a dingy, dim-lit metal building.

I was in the chiropractor's office recently because a therapist told me I should consider getting my back adjusted or aligned. You see, I kept having different parts of my back flare up at different times. She said it was all connected to the spine and my vertebrae. I took her advice and am I ever glad I did. In just a few minutes the Dr. aligned my spine and I’ve felt 100 percent better! I am now able to do many things that use to cause me issues.

You may have heard of the acronym of TEAM: Together everyone achieves more. Well, I’ve been waiting for Father's Day to come around so I could challenge you to really think outside the box and help me fix this chaotic world!

This Sunday we as a culture celebrate our moms. That’s just a good day all around. Moms are worthy to be honored and celebrated. They carried you in their body for 9 months then fed you, cleaned you and taught you when you couldn’t do these things for yourself.

Welcome to the first series of blogs on our new site. I struggled for a while with the idea of just putting more material on the WWW. In my opinion, we have information overload and people have lost the ability to differentiate between the real and the false. I certainly don’t want to add to this problem.

In our last blog we discussed the first three strategies for effective fathering. Now when I say fathering, that includes your own children or even a protégé that your mentoring and coaching. We all need a level of fathering as we live our lives. This blog will focus on the last three strategies for being an effective father. 

This blog is intended to give the reader practical tips on how to be a father. Whether you are raising sons, daughters, or you are mentoring a young protege, these key principles are the foundation to fathering.
